After several rainy days in Hanoi we are headed tonight by train to the coastal city of Hue. We're both glad to be leaving the city as our room has begun to smell like digested medicine and mould. However, Nicole has enjoyed the great shopping in the city as well as the two hour massages for six dollars Canadian. Also, our overnight trip to Ha Long Bay featured some great scenery (see previous post) however, the food was mediocre at best.
Joe is particularly excited about Hue as it widely considered to be home to the best cuisine in Vietnam and some of the best in the world. Sticky-rice banana pancakes have been haunting his dreams.
Also, shout out to Roger Federer for winning number 15 in style, and to our Yankees who have taken 5 of 6 from the Jays.
Bye for now
Joe and Nicole
